We are seeking an individual to undertake the role of Short Courses Administrator (Asia Development) on a fixed term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and business support to the work of the Short Courses department, in particular the Asia Development Manager and Asia Development activities.

Duties will include administrative tasks such as; arranging AUB visits for both in-coming and out-going visitors; liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders of all levels including students, academics, representatives and staff; preparing accurate information for visa applications, travel documents, registers, certificates and invoices; updating publicity materials as instructed by the Asia Development Manager; dealing with telephone and email enquiries; arranging meetings including catering; photocopying, filing and ordering stationery; and keeping Health and Safety and Risk Assessment records.

As a first point of contact for Asia Development activity you will be a key liaison both internally and externally. The ability to present a positive client service approach is an essential requirement of the post, as well as the ability to be welcoming, flexible and professional at all times.

The role will require excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese and cultural awareness and appreciation of both the UK and China. The ability to work pro-actively, prioritising tasks on a daily basis with good organisational skills is also essential. You will also have strong customer services skills and be competent with all administrative tasks necessary to support the Asia Development Manager and the Short Course department as a whole, as you will be required to work across the department during busy periods.
