Workstation Team Leader
Location: Dublin
Salary: €60-70K DOE + bonus up to 20% + benefit package
We are currently recruiting a Workstation Team Leader for a leading company in the financials services industry.
Purpose of the role:
The Workstation Team Leader role reports to the Manager Workstation Technical Support and is responsible for technical support of the workstation environment (including printers) for the European sites.
The role involves the following high-level activities:
• Provides day to day leadership and overall workload balance of team
• Supports the learning and development of team members
• Supports the performance management of team members
• Identifies and escalates process improvements with interfacing teams
• Provides process and technical consulting for team members and other Information Services staff


General Position Functions:
• Manages and leads staff within the team
• Help in managing budgets and reports on variances
• Manages standard reporting of service achievements to Service Managers.
• Develops and executes strategies to maintain or improve service
• Manages day-to day work assignments and performance of the staff.
• Ensures that incidents and questions from users are handled in the most effective manner, and service is restored as quickly as possible
• Manages the production of status reports on incidents and trends in incidents
• Manages system integration for the workstation environment
• Manages second level technical support for workstation environment
• Ensure total task accomplishment through concern for all areas involved


Skills and experience required:
• Minimum 5-7 years experience in a senior technical role providing level 2 support or technology implementation
• Minimum 2 years experience in leadership role in an IS environment
• Experience staffing and conducting performance management processes
• Comprehensive understanding of workstation environment
• High level understanding of service management
• Proven track record in coaching and mentoring staff
• Knowledge of operational processes (problem, change and configuration)
• Knowledge of incident and problem management processes and practices
• Conceptual knowledge of ITIL processes, security practices
• Proven track in managing vendors
• Advanced knowledge of workstation Operating System Implementation and Troubleshooting
• Broad technical knowledge – hardware, infrastructure application software, productivity tools.
