Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the relationship to the company’s largest and most strategic clients in the E-Commerce sector. The role includes the up-selling of additional payment products to existing business partners, the preparation of tailored marketing campaigns and promotions, the analysis of the partner’s performance and the managements of all operational aspects for the assigned merchants with the purpose of increasing the company’s revenue through targeted account management activities.

The companies merchants include companies such as eBay.com, ThomasCook, Skype, Playfish and over 60,000 other merchants. As part of the role you will be mainly concentrating on partners located across Europe which are using or planning to use our products and solutions.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Full account ownership and P/L responsibility for defined and selected strategic partners of Next Generation Payments with the main purpose of growing the merchants’ turnover and increasing the size of the Next Generation Payments customer base.
• Establishment of a close, direct and personal relationship to key people in the merchants’ organization.
• Creation of sales presentations and development of sales propositions for the various existing business clients in order to up-sell additional payment products.
• Analysis of the merchant’s performance from a revenue and profitability perspective.
• Close coordination with our anti-fraud- and risk teams to protect our merchants against charge-backs and to avoid payment fraud.
• Preparation of tailored and targeted marketing campaigns such as newsletters, cash-back promotions, price-draws, affiliate promotions, etc.
• Understand and make use of all Next Generation Payments product capabilities and features to allow for a customized use of our payment products to ensure the highest possible payment conversion.
• Liaise with marketing and product teams to ensure constant benchmarking and price comparisons
• Organise, attend and represent Next Generation Payments at events and exhibitions tailored to E-Commerce/payments
• Participation in the development of new ideas, strategies and processes to ensure operational excellence.

PERSONAL SKILLS/ ATTRIBUTES

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
• The ideal candidate will be a disciplined self-starter, results driven and restless to achieve career recognition and financial reward.
• Experience gained in proactive account management or new business generation in the internet field (at least 3yrs experience).
• Willingness to lead by example, will be key to how your success will be measured.
• Outstanding relationship building, oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• High internet affinity, high self-motivation and strong commitment.
• Fluent in German and English and indeally one other European language (French, Spanish, Russian, Polish, etc.).
• Process development skills, ability to keep work flowing, minimising problems or delays.
• Proficient use of MS Office and SalesForce or similar.
• Ideally with experience in ecommerce, digital media and/or internet payments.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION REQUIRMENTS

• Degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
