Job Description
Do you love working with cutting edge massively scaled Web technologies?
This position would allow you to use your ability to quickly learn technologies and troubleshoot issues with our partner sites that are incorporating Microsoft’s largest and most important web services into their applications. This position will allow the chance to develop expertise and become the ‘go to person’ for a critical and highly sought after area of technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to implementing supported Microsoft technologies in applications that are developed by internal Microsoft based groups and external partners
Act as a conduit between the various escalation paths and the partner and to supply general information to the partner related to the supported technologies.
Troubleshoot issues with partner sites that are incorporating Microsoft’s largest and most important web services into their applications.
Helping partners understand and correctly design their implementation of our services and looking at or providing partners with standard code samples to understand Application Programming Interface.
SKILLS
Essential Criteria:
Fluency in written and spoken English
Customer Focus: Demonstrates outstanding customer service in a service driven environment.
Specialist knowledge:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and 3-5 years of experience or the equivalent in work experience.
Must be familiar with HTML and scripting, enough to understand the script by looking at the code
Strong understanding of internet technologies including a strong knowledge of HTML
Knowledge of ASP, NET with VB.NET or C#. Proven experience with alternate languages such as Java and proven ability to quickly learn new technologies
Strong knowledge of Non-Microsoft Technologies like Java, PHP, Javascript, Ruby
Troubleshoot issues by examining http traces, looking at headers, cookies and query string and form post values
Strong technical investigation and problem solving abilities
Ability to understand and debug network related issues using the network monitoring tools
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
40 Hours per week on a rotational shift
Salary 18-22K
