The Product Area

Bloomberg ALPHA is Bloomberg's new platform for Portfolio Analytics and Risk. ALPHA is responsible for the rapidly improving portfolio functionality that Bloomberg offers within the terminal product. Over and above this, ALPHA will launch a premium product targeted at data intensive-users, clients requiring greater customizability, quantitative portfolio managers and enterprise-level customers.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated, financially astute account management person with proven experience to join our new and rapidly expanding Bloomberg ALPHA Portfolio Analytics and Risk team.

You will be responsible for managing accounts/relationships with existing clients as well as identifying opportunity to expand and up-sell our platform within your accounts. With a consultative approach you will look to provide clients with a premium solution to help them make better investment/trading decisions and ultimately achieve Alpha.

This role interacts with multiple business areas and requires strong communication and time management / prioritization skills. This role demands a confident, team playing, client focused individual. Travel is required.

Qualifications

- Working in or selling to the buy-side i.e. pension funds, investment advisors, mutual funds.
- Equity and Fixed Income market experience.
- Ability to identify new prospects and build and maintain solid client relationships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Aptitude to excel in a fast paced, rapidly growing environment
- A self-starter, proactive team player with strong multi-tasking skills
- Fluency in English is essential
- Proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferable
