The Role:

Bloomberg News is seeking a finance reporter to join our growing news team in the Gulf region.

The successful candidate will focus on building our coverage of the region's banks, Islamic finance and sovereign wealth funds. Applicants should have the ability to produce breaking news stories under real-time deadline pressure in a team environment, even as they regularly develop exclusive enterprise pieces. A minimum of three to five years of business journalism experience is preferred and you need to be knowledgeable about the economy and financial markets.

Responsibilities include attending press briefings and evening events, monitoring other media and writing news summaries and feature stories.

Qualifications:

- Journalism experience and experience covering the Middle East is preferred.
- Experience of working in a real-time news environment is desirable.
- Ability to write quickly and concisely under deadline pressure.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is desirable.
- Fluency in Arabic is essential.
