Job Description
Based in Slough, our client is a world leading provider of IT security and firewall related software solutions to a variety of organisations of all sizes throughout the world.
To join their international technical team, they wish to recruit a German speaking Client Account Manager.
Your role will include the following duties and responsibilities:
* Managing the relationship with German speaking customers and be the primary contact to manage the overall success
* Ensure that customers are successfully using and leveraging the product
* Connect on a regular basis to existing customers and perform technical check ups
* Perform site visits and/or also webinars to guide and inform customers
* Serve as the first point of contact for priority customers and help direct inquiries to the right resources
* Be responsible for answering customer inquiries and highlighting value, and benefits from a technical perspective
* Gather customer feedback and deliver that to the internal organisation as data points to drive product and company direction
* Promote new product ranges and encourage clients to renew services contracts where appropriate
To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills and background:
* Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
* Have a strong technical background and customer orientation and possess an excellent work ethic
* Have a background in a technical IT role (possibly IT level 2/3 support, Post Sales Consultants, Technical Pre-Sales Engineers, Consulting and Professional Services profiles, Technical Support Engineers, Engineering or Technical Customer Service oriented profiles)
* Have a good knowledge of IT security including Firewall, Intrusion Detection Systems, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Network Scanners (Nessus, nmap, Cybercop, ISS Internet Scanner), PCI, Policy Compliance and Audit Tools, other enterprise security solutions
* A general knowledge of Desktop and Server operating system configuration, TCP/IP networking hardware, protocols, and LAN configuration, knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies, network design, and web security architectures
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills (most work is done over the phone with some occasional travel to clients, partners, trade shows, etc)
On offer is a basic salary up to £38,000 + OTE of 15% (c£6,000).
