English to Danish, Norwegian Translators

Our client, a leader in its field is currently looking to recruit English to Danish, or Norwegian translators for their offices in Southampton.

Job Role

You will be working alongside other staff translators in your working language. Duties include translation and proof-reading of predominantly technical, commercial and IT texts, automotive and medical work as well as software localisation.

The Candidate:

• A degree or postgraduate degree in Languages or Translation Studies is required.
• All levels of experience will be considered.
• Your most fluent language must be the language you translate into.
• English speaking translators working from one or more of the Nordic languages are also sought. Fluency in English is essential for Nordic nationals.
• A high level of IT skills and knowledge of CAT tools, particularly Trados, is an advantage.
• Duties include translation and proof-reading of predominantly technical, commercial and IT texts, but we are also keen to hear from established specialist translators in the fields of automotive and medical work as well as software localisation.
• Translators with experience of project management from another translation company who would be interested in a dual translator/project manager role at STP are also very welcome to apply.

Salary: 18-34k depending on experience
