Looking for a Hardware Customer Service Engineer position? We now have an exciting vacancy for an enthusiastic customer service oriented German speaker with knowledge of various IT areas (Technical Customer Support or Customer Service & PC Hardware).

Our client is the UK's leading outsourced contact centre provider operating 281 contact centres in 51 countries, making them the largest network of contact centres in the world.

You will join the IT Support inbound helpline operated on behalf of a market leading IT hardware corporation in Swindon. This is a challenging and multi-tasking role dealing with issues of varying complexity.

The Duties:

•Troubleshooting, fault finding & resolving customers and technical issues, covering a wide variety of hardware products via interactive services.
•Replicating issues and conducting research to find answers to questions and to ensure quality of resolution of customer issues.
•Working closely with experts in their field to resolve issues
•Regularly updating customers on the progress of their issues and maintaining accurate records
•Ensuring customer satisfaction by providing a professional service and swift resolution to all customer issues.
•Working as part of a team, sharing work in customer issue resolution.
•Continuous learning by developing further knowledge of the products supported. There is ongoing structured training provided on the various hardware products supported.

The Selection Criteria:

•Fluency in English & German
•Excellent communication skills
•Previous experience of a technical helpdesk is an advantage

Technical competence and experience:

•System architecture
•Raid Controllers
•Understanding BIOS Firmware and upgrades patterns/changes
•Knowledge of Server Hardware and Software
•Storage Units
•System Administration Knowledge
•Managing a server remotely and locally
•Disaster Recovery
•Client Deployment
•Monitoring
•System Integration
•Knowledge on how to built a SRV out of the box

Ideally you have knowledge of home PC system architecture, proven technical troubleshooting skills, as well as fluent English and German. However if you have the correct troubleshooting/hardware skills and are fluent in either French, Spanish, Italian or Turkish then please apply in case we have any further vacancies requiring these languages.
