The Company

My Client an International Media Company seeks a Japanese Conference Producer to work in their offices in London

Job Role

The Japanese Conference Producer will work on developing our clients Japanese events.
Your role is to find new opportunities and develop new products.

The Candidate

The candidate will begin by working on brand new Japanese conferences which means the following skills and attributes are essential:

• You need to be money motivated and confident in spotting new opportunities, and global trends
• Although you will be working on Japanese events you will be based in the London office and therefore need to be prepared to work flexible hours to allow for the time difference – the ability to work with minimum supervision is also a must.
• Entrepreneurial drive, personality and commercial awareness essential
• You must be fluent to a native level in both Japanese and English
• The successful candidate must have an interest in business and be good at spotting Global trends; you will be required to research new opportunities for conferences.
• You will be expected to write all your own marketing materials and press releases.
• If you were given 3 business opportunities you will be expected to go away and research them and present to our client which option has the best opportunities

Benefits

You’ll get a good basic (£23K) as well as a share of the profits.

The commission structure

The successful candidate can realistically increase their salary to 33k with commission
If the conference is a new or original idea and thought up by the candidate you will take home 11% of the overall profit. If it is a repeat conference you will take home 7% of the profit.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop and hone your business skills in areas like: research and analysis, marketing, communications (especially over the web), budget control and project management.

Our client will offer you immediate responsibility (you’ll get a 50k budget on day one) and the opportunity to learn about business and global commerce.
