Job Description
Informa Global Markets (IGM) is the leading specialist provider of
real-time news and analysis to primarily sell-side financial market
professionals across multiple asset classes. With a strong existing
product portfolio and several new product initiatives at launch stage, this
is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, proactive Account Manager.
The Account Manager will have responsibility for creating and implementing
a relationship strategy and calling plan for our Northern European account
base, especially in Germany. The objective is to ensure revenue retention,
as well as strengthening the existing business relationships and
prospecting for new business opportunities.
As well as covering several of our largest clients on a pan-European basis,
the Account Manager will also have as part of his or her portfolio a
defined territory of smaller accounts. Again, the role involves deepening
the relationships with senior executives and decision-makers and building a
pipeline of new opportunities in the process.
The position carries responsibility for achieving an individual revenue
based sales target.
Working as part of a local and global based sales team, you will ideally
have: -
Extensive client-facing experience
Fluency in German, both oral and written
Evidence of meeting and over-achieving targets
Demonstrable negotiation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience of identifying client needs and delivering appropriate solutions
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to present the IGM value proposition
Knowledge of the FX, Fixed Income and Corporate credit markets and the
participants
Ability to give clear and concise feedback to product management
An organised and methodical approach to your work
Based in our London office, the role will involve extensive travel across
Europe after initial training.
