Our client is a London - City based Incoming Tour Operator and they have a vacancy for a OPERATIONS ASSISTANT to handle general OPERATIONS for inbound Groups and tours travelling around Europe.

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Receiving general service orders on a daily basis from offices in Japan via in-house computer system.

· Receiving telephone calls from Japanese clients when they are in Europe

· Carrying the emergency mobile telephone on a rota basis

· When confirmations are received from the suppliers advising the details to Japan using in-house computer system.

· Any rates have to be carefully checked and possibly input as well as other details such as restaurant names, menu details etc.

· Also dealing with amendments and cancellations

· Sending final details to the hotels such as Rooming Lists, Meal requirements, arrival times etc.


You must have some previous Travel, Tourism or Hotels work experience, and have fluent Japanese and English, as well as excellent administration and IT/computer knowledge, and the ability to work well as part of a team. Salary c £16,000
