Job Description
Our client is based in central Brighton. They offer a fantastic working environment and have superb offices. Due to expansion, our client is looking for a Tour Co-ordinator. This position involves the responsibility for bookings to specific destinations, from reservation to completion of the tour. You must speak fluent Italian for this position.
MAIN DUTIES
Administration:
Dealing with all client file administration and telephone queries on confirmation
Checking special costings to make sure they match up with booking details
Invoicing clients on receipt of final numbers forms and passing supplier invoices
Preparing detailed travel itineraries according to groups\' requirements
Overseas:
Negotiating rates with hoteliers and coach companies
Dealing with overseas suppliers for travel and hotel arrangements
Developing strong rapports with agents and ground handlers overseas
Researching area information to further develop the product
Pre-booking excursions and museum visits
Dealing with hotel audits and the resolution of hotel safety issues
Internal:
Liasing with and advising Sales, Operations, Accounts and Quality Services
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Excellent customer service skills are required with good written and spoken English. The applicant needs to have commercial acumen, be adaptable, reliable and flexible, with a responsible attitude and possess the ability to cope when a problem arises. The position requires meticulous attention to detail and an enthusiastic approach. A basic knowledge of Word and Excel is necessary.
