Job Description
Job Purpose
To provide an effective information service in the Library, Arabic translation, Secretarial cover and Administrative support.
Key Accountabilities :
• To provide accurate and professional research articles and a daily market overview report of all market areas for the senior management
• To sort and organise all company literature, newspapers, magazines, brochures, reference material and books etc.
• To maintain the filing and archive systems in the Library, ensuring that the lists and inventories are accurate and up to date
• To undertake all administrative needs of the Library including sorting and actioning the post, developing and updating data on spreadsheets, ordering of literature etc.
• To manage the budgets of the library in line with the EVP, Human Resources and Administration and Office procedures
• To provide an ad hoc information service as requested using the various PC based information systems
• To provide Arabic translation
• To provide secretarial and administrative support to the office
Education Skills & Experience :
Education
• To degree level together with a specific Library or Information Management related qualification
Skills and Experience
• 3-4 years experience in the City providing a service oriented role, based on information provision, planning and organising, preferably in a Library, Information Resource or Helpdesk environment
• 3-4 years experience in the City providing secretarial / administrative support
• Advanced level of competence on PC applications, the internet and various library systems
• Effective keyboard skills
• Fluent Arabic, both spoken and written
