Job Description
Job Title: Cantonese speaking Market Coordinator – China, Hong Kong & Korea
Skills: Fluent Cantonese. Client relationship experience.
Salary: £20,000 + benefits
Location: Central London
The Company:
A leading international clothing with offices in central London.
The Purpose of your role:
To be the company’s main operational sales & communication link to the Chinese market where both wholesale and licensing activities take place. Additionally to participate in ‘ad hoc’ showroom projects, such as stock movement, on an as required basis.
Your Main Responsibilities:
Section 1 – Selling:
Work towards seasonal sales objectives.
To coordinate seasonal sales visits by customers and where necessary, participate and lead in sales presentations.
Maintain up-to-date sales records both at wholesale and licensing levels.
Work with Credit Control
Ensure that all orders from the territory are entered on the system within 5 days.
Participate in the semi-annual forecasting process.
Ensure that the company delivery schedules are actioned and whenever possible, exceeded.
Advise customers of any delivery slippages as they occur taking care to minimise cancellations.
Work with the creative and Technical teams both in London and China in order to satisfy local requirements.
Work with the European and UK sales teams regarding ex-pat Cantonese A/C’s
Section 2 – Licensing
Become familiar with all territory licensing and sub-licensing contracts.
Maintain an up-to-date record of period royalty payments.
Act as coordinator between Creative and License/ Sub-License partners.
Planning And Organising:
Must be able to manage order book at the same time as seeing customers at a time when socialising may also be required.
Must be able to plan the showroom diary and make appointments bearing in mind the overall schedule.
Must be able to coordinate the input from Creative with seasonal visitors from the territory.
During this busy time must be prepared to deal with ad hoc items as required.
Must be able to work under pressure.
Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Oral and written communications at all levels in both English and Cantonese
Educated to degree level
Inherent sales ability
An administrative ability with, ideally, experience in account handling matters
An ability to understand Licensing issues
Organised
Ability to work under pressure
Team player
Doesn’t mind some physical work
Willingness to travel and sometimes work unsociable hours
